As things stand the whole trip fell through the sieve of time...
I am on my way To Argentina this year and will persue the matter when I get back from chasing after glass skulls and Lamas across the pampas in buses and hopefully at least once on a DS bike.

At this stage I want to get back from the Argie trip first.
It seems that an early trip in 2009 may be possible but if that does not come up I am really serious about doing it in June/July 2009 at the latest.
I will be doing more planning when back from Argie and will be blogging about it.

Hi Graham, last time I couted it was about 10 blokes.
Armytalk forum on google groups is where we hang out.
Did my DP at 1SAI Oudtdshoorn in '72. Did a few camps and border stints untill '84 when I decided to quit after being a volunteer for 5 years.
Ended up as platoon sargeant but was roped into the unit HQ as battalion clerk... used to be the guy the okes hated. "Daai blikskottel wat ons oproep" :-)
